DEFCON is the works largest hacking conference that takes place every year in Las Vegas. In 2009, we decided to pile into the car with some friends and drive all night to go. At the time, we couldn’t afford to take much time off work so the whole trip was a bit of a wirlwind as we tried to see as many sites as possible while also attending the conference. We must have had fun though because we decided to do it again!
Looking back at all of the conferences that we have went to, we always say that this was our favorite one. It was the one where we got to watch Adam Savage talk and we got to spend a lot of time in the Lockpick Village.
During the trip, we staye at the Stratosphere near the end of the stip. We had a blast and really enjoyed being able to see all of the strip from the viewing deck at the top. This was also the trip where we learned that you shouldn’t try to walk up the entire strip. Overall, it was still a lot of fun though.
